STOP THE KILLING, a Protest against Lewisburg Animal Shelter and the city of Lewisburg

We want you to attend a peaceful protest in regards to Lewisburgs recent and past actions with it animal shelter, which has since been renamed as a “holding facility.”
Lewisburg Animal Shelter, someone we have been fighting to change its practices for a year, yet again put down EVERY SINGLE sponsored dog down in its facility today. They refuse to say why, other than it was a “city decision.” This is not the first time they have done this. What’s even worse, all the dogs had commits on them to be picked up. They had time set out to meet the person who was going to rescue the dogs, and then didnt show up, instead, they were spotted at the local vet, Meredith Warner Veterinary Clinic, putting all the dogs down. This is a disgusting act and it will be investigated, I will make sure of that.
We need to let them know that we will not stand for the murder of dogs that has no purpose! We will stand up for the animals that have no voice! WE ARE THEIR VOICE! We want to make sure the city answers for its decisions and gives reasons as to why instead of hollow excuses.
We have updated our flyer to include all the speakers due to speak at the protest. We are pleased to announce that MaryRene Baxter will be joining the list of speakers (as of July 21, 2012). MaryRene Baxter is a singer/songwriter, and is also running for State Representative (D) for District 92.

Are you telling us that when they called the foster at 1:30 and tole her not to "bother" that the dogs weren't dead yet? that they told her not to come and THEN killed the dogs?
