Lewisburg Protest
We had an amazing turnout for the Lewisburg Protest. We had nearly 100 people there, and over 300 people there in spirit. First, I would like to thank our speakers and coordinators of the event, Jacki Moss, Greg King, Jessica Yokley, Teri Cox, Rachel Ray, MaryRene Baxter, and the County of Marshall County for allowing us to hold our peaceful protest at the County Courthouse in Lewisburg Tennessee. I would also like to thank our many supporters who showed up, appeared on this news with us, were there in spirit, and signed and shared our petition.
We were able to garner national attention to the issues going on at Lewisburg Animal Shelter through Fox, ABC, NBC, the AP, and other various media outlets. This pressured them to add the shelter issues to the schedule for the next City Council meeting. So we will have the chance to be heard. We will also be presenting the city with the petition so they can see how many people worldwide want change, and also what they are saying when they sign the petition. Our Director of Lewisburg Relations, Jacki Moss, will be presenting the petition to the city on August 14th for their meeting.
I was so happy to see everyone there and meet everyone I could. It was a busy day and we have made the irst step, and we aren’t going to back down, and we wont take blame for their decisions as they have consistently said about us and other people trying to get change.
Below you will find a video from the protest, and please be patient, because if the amount of people trying to view it, it can take a little bit to load. Below that, you can find pictures that were taken during the protest.

We need many many more of these protests! One is not enough….I'll help if needed! Please we need more!
I agree!
